1743 Hospitality Group announced over the weekend that it is opening Cecilia at 266 East 4th Street in Bridgeport. The property was previously home to Taphouse 23, which was opened in 2014 and closed in 2025. 1743 Hospitality Group is behind the notable Blue Bell Inn and The Country House at Bluestone in Blue Bell, and The Copper Crow in Horsham.

The menu will offer contemporary American dishes with a global inspiration. The building will also get a refresh and renovations are currently underway.

“We know how much this location means to Bridgeport,” share the 1743 Hospitality team. “While we are bringing a new concept to the space, our goal is to maintain its legacy as the go-to gathering spot for the neighborhood. Our focus is, and will always be, the town of Bridgeport and our guests.”
