Fine Line Dining announced on June 23rd that its latest restaurant, Academy Grill, will open the week of July 7th. The restaurant is filling the space at 424 South Bethlehem Pike in Fort Washington (Whitemarsh Township) that was previously the home of Cantina Feliz (which moved to downtown Ambler in 2024).

The menu at Academy Grill will feature an Italian-inspired menu of seafood, steaks, and pasta, with a white-tablecloth experience.

Academy Grill’s kitchen will be led by Chef Jeff Power, who was the chef at the long-running Dettera in Ambler. Fine Line acquired Dettera and closed it in April with plans to reopen that restaurant in the future as an “approachable Mediterranean restaurant.”

Fine Line’s group of restaurants includes Jasper’s Backyard in Conshohocken and The Fort in Fort Washington. In addition to the replacement for Dettera in Ambler, The Philadelphia Inquirer recently reported that Fine Line plans to open a pizza restaurant in the building at 900 Fayette Street in Conshohocken (the former home of Ashley’s Deli).
