Abel Lui and Kinsey Huang have opened Akina Sushi at 6 East First Avenue in Conshohocken. It fills the space that was most recently home to M & M Pho Mi.

The restaurant’s motto is “Tradition meets Creativity,” which honors many of the recipes developed by Liu’s mother. The family owns a restaurant in Tokyo.

The menu is available online (start an online order to view). A lunch special is available Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You can pick two rolls for $13 or three for $17. The special is served with a soup or side salad.

The current hours are Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 8:00 p.m. The restaurant can be found on Instagram here.
