Green Lane Park in Green Lane is hosting “Maple Sugar Magic” on Saturday, March 1st. The free event explores the wonder of maple sugaring and will have two sessions at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

During the event, there will be demonstrations of tree-tapping and sap gathering, as well as the boiling of sap to make syrup, while learning about the discovery of maple sugar dating back to the 1500s. There, of course, will also be the opportunity to taste the maple syrup.

Pure Pennsylvania maple syrup, candy, and cream will be available for sale.

To participate, meet at Hill Road Day Use Area, 2821 Hill Road in Green Lane. The rain date is Sunday, March 2nd, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
