Marco’s Pizza looking to expand into Philadelphia region including Montgomery County

The fast-growing Marco’s Pizza brand announced in early March that it is expanding to the eastern Pennsylvania region. The first restaurants will be part of a franchise agreement with pizza industry veteran Jack Praizner, who will lead the expansion. The first two restaurants will be in Bethlehem and Whitehall and will open in the second half of 2025.

The announcement didn’t mention anything specific to Montgomery County. The Philadelphia Business Journal interviewed Marco’s Pizza Chief Development Officer Gerardo Flores following the announcement. From the article:

Flores said Marco’s Pizza is also looking at several areas for expansion within Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. He declined to share any specific locations within those counties that the chain is eyeing but said that the communities within them have both strong residential and commercial areas that make them ideal targets for a Marco’s Pizza location.

Marco’s Pizza was founded in 1978 just outside Toledo, OH. It has grown to have more than 1,200 restaurants in 35 states and in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and Mexico.
