Noted Chinese chef, Peter Chang, recently opened restaurant in King of Prussia

Noted Chinese chef, Peter Chang, recently opened Peter Chang King of Prussia at the Henderson Square Shopping Centrer at 314 South Henderson Road in King of Prussia. That space was most recently Forever Chinese, which closed at the end of March.

Chang is known for his authentic Szechuan dishes. The James Beard Foundation has recognized him four times as a nominee and semifinalist in the Best Chef and Outstanding Chef categories. Chang owns or co-owns approximately 20 restaurants, mainly in the Viriginia/Maryland area. Chang is also preparing to open a restaurant in Colmar.

Chang has a very interesting story that starts in China and continues at the Chinese Embassy in Washington, D.C., which he and his family eventually left and sought to build a life in the United States. You can read an interview with Chang in which he shares his story here.

The restuarant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
