Salt & Stone preparing to open in Conshohocken

Salt & Stone, a Modern American restaurant, will open within the new two to three weeks at 128 Fayette Street in Conshohocken. This space previously was home to Fayette Street Oyster House and Tierra Caliente.

The restaurant is owned by Demetrios Pappas, who recently shared details about the new restaurant with MoreThanTheCurve.com.

For Salt & Stone, Pappas is working with Chef Lassine Sylla. The pair first came together at Pappas’ restaurant Cafe Fresko in Bryn Mawr, after Chef Sylla left the kitchen at Anjou. Chef Sylla went on to work at Kaizan in Philadelphia and Zakura Dining & Bar in California. Pappas closed Cafe Fresko in 2010 and has since owned a pizza restaurant in West Chester and The Great American Pub in Paoli.

Pappas describes the menu at Salt & Stone as Modern American, offering a contemporary style of cooking that blends traditional American dishes with global influences and innovative techniques. Chef Sylla will emphasize fresh, seasonal ingredients that showcase regional flavors and reinterpretations of classic dishes.
