The Fulton, a contemporary Irish tavern, set to open in Conshohocken

The Fulton, a contemporary Irish tavern, is set to open on Friday, June 13th, at 641 Old Elm Street in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). That spot was the long-time home of the Old Mansion House, which closed a few years ago.

The restaurant is being opened by Evan Lambert, Robert Tredinnick, and the Executive Chef Ryan Patterson. Their restaurant backgrounds include Savona in Gulph Mills, Vecchia Nuova in Phoenixville, and The Bahia Hotel and Beach House in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Patterson has held positions in top kitchens all over the world, including but not limited to, Savona in Gulph Mills, and The Breslin and Spotted Pig in New York City.

We spoke with Lambert last week. He first planned to open an Italian restaurant in Conshohocken, but as he learned more about the Connaughtown neighborhood, its Irish roots pointed him in a new direction. The restaurant is named for Fulton Street, the street that runs behind the building. Lambert and his partner’s intention for The Fulton to be a place “where all people are welcome and can be themselves.”

Further, Lambert offered:

Set on a corner in the heart of Connaughtown, a proud community founded by Irish settlers, this contemporary Irish tavern is more than just a place to grab a drink—it’s a modern-day hearth where history, culture, and community spirit come together. There’s no pretense here. The “Celtic Knot” in our logo represents our philosophy of interconnection. The endless nature of these knots highlights the cycle of birth, life, death, and rebirth. It is meant to be a positive symbol of love, happiness, faith, and friendship. The building itself blends old-world charm with contemporary design: sturdy stonework, modern lighting, and a long white marble bar add a clean, modern aesthetic.

The tavern’s menu offers a modern take on Irish comfort food. Irish favorites such as fish & chips, Irish stew, and corned beef and seared cabbage share the menu with oversized butcher blend burgers, sandwiches on artisanal bread, large composed salads, and desserts from the pastry kitchen. There are 40 seats inside the restaurant, and Lambert has approval to add a deck on the rear of the building (which will come later).

A 15-seat bar showcases a lineup of Irish whiskeys, small-batch spirits for creative cocktails, eight craft beers on tap, and a select wine list from top producers.

The Fulton will be open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, and for brunch and dinner on Sunday. There is ample parking located behind the building. You can sign up for updates from The Fulton here.
