New York-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream is moving towards opening a location in March at Suburban Square in Ardmore. In Pennsylvania, it has four locations all within the borders of Philadelphia. Overall there are scoop shops currently across 13 states.

The menu includes milk-based and vegan ice cream. The four locations in Philadelphia work with a delivery app, so if you can’t make it to the scoop shop, delivery will likely be available.

The shop at Suburban Square will occupy 1,600 feet at the new mix-used development Coulter Square, which also includes seven retail spaces and 131 apartments.

If you are wondering how to pronounce the name of the company, its website offers “Van (like the car) Lou (like the name) Inn (like the hotel).”
